Changing diapers... it's not our favourite job. But what's the best way to change your baby's diaper?
1️⃣ Prepare everything in advance so you never have to leave your baby alone on the changing table. Think about a changing pad, wipes, Oh Baby! Liniment, clean diaper(s) and (new) clothes.
2️⃣ Loosen the diaper. Lay your baby on the changing mat and take off his/her clothes. Before removing the diaper completely, always check how dirty the diaper is. Does everything look okay? Then it's enough to loosen your baby's bodysuit at the bottom and slide it upwards. If the damage is more severe, remove the romper completely before changing the diaper.
3️⃣ Time to get everything clean! Are you dealing with a pee diaper? Then you can gently fold the diaper under your baby's bottom. Are you dealing with a poopy diaper? Try to wipe off as much poop as possible with your diaper before folding it. Then apply the Oh, Baby! Liniment on a cotton pad or tissue and clean the front and back completely. Always wipe from front to back to prevent stool or poop bacteria from getting to the vagina or penis. The Oh Baby! Liniment cleans, softens and strengthens the protective layer of the diaper area. 4️⃣ Apply a new diaper. Take your baby's ankles in your hand and slide the part of the nappy with the adhesive strip under your baby. Make sure the flaps between his/her legs are folded outwards to prevent leakage. Also check that the diaper is not too tight by putting a finger between the waistband and your baby's tummy. Do you see red lines on your baby's legs during his/her next change? Then loosen the diaper a little bit more.
5️⃣ Time to put the clothes back on. And then... wait for the next dirty diaper.
