It's getting hot in Belgium... Make sure to keep your baby cool while taking a stroll during these hot summer days.
1️⃣ 𝗚𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻. Avoid the hottest time of the day between noon and 3pm.
2️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻 & 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁. Always keep the hood of your stroller down or even install a little parasol. Never use a towel to cover the opening of the stroller. It will protect your baby from the sun rays, but the temperature inside the stroller can rise by 7 degrees.
3️⃣ 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘁. Choose for airy fabrics such as cotton & avoid too many layers.
4️⃣ 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. Are you breastfeeding? Then this is not necessary. When the weather is hot, your breast milk will automatically become more watery. Are you bottle-feeding? In addition to the bottles, you can regularly offer your child a spoonful of water.
5️⃣ 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Make sure the washcloth is not too cold in order to avoid too large temperature differences.
